EMCOR Services Team Mechanical was selected to provide design-build mechanical and electrical installation services for this 23-story boutique hotel.

The completed project met our client’s rigorous standards, helping guarantee a comfortable environment for their guests and staff. Our design will also help increase the dependability of their mechanical systems, minimizing future system repairs while promoting energy efficiency and equipment longevity.  

Client Objectives

This client required a mechanical system of the highest quality, in order to maintain their reputation as a world-class, luxury hotel.

Solutions

For this design-build project, our scope of work included the renovation of an HVAC system for 221 guest rooms, a new penthouse mechanical room, and a new building automation system.

Across these phases, we provided the following:

  • Two closed-circuit, rooftop cooling towers
  • Piping system including:
    • Loops in interstitial space
    • Pumps
    • Hydronic accessories
  • Demolition of existing packaged conditioning units and all associated steam and condensate risers
  • 13 new sets of risers
  • Furnishing and installation for water source heat pumps
  • Complete automation and controls, including equipment commissioning

Additionally, we also assisted with the electrical work for the project, partnering with Galaxy Electric for the power wiring and cooperating with our sister EMCOR company Gibson Electric on their IT communication upgrade project.
